Shoot with Karly Treacy high in the hills near Malibu, California.
This one will forever be a favorite because it took Yoga Journal from static, all-white covers back to environmental covers, which was a key directive I wanted to accomplish taking over as art director on the mag.
Second and third shots are cover outtakes that were used inside the mag.

Shoot with Baron Baptiste for the back cover of the February 2018 issue. I wanted to create stark contrast to the whites and brightness of the front cover so it would stand apart.
Baron was part of the flip section on mentorship, so I tried something Yoga Journal rarely does: two models on the cover. The image of Baron and his student ended up being the back cover.

For the June 2017 Inclusivity Issue, I wanted to shoot all the teachers we were including in the feature, which ended up being a labor of love, especially when all models couldn't travel to Colorado.
Each of these teachers were shot in the same environment and then put to a cover test with our readers to see who they wanted on the cover. It was important to me to keep the environment controlled and monochromatic so the teachers could shine through.
