I’m an art director, realist, and lover of all things old, musical and in print.
I caught the design bug during my last semester in college when I took a magazine design class (I was working on a print journalism degree). And once I caught the sickness, it was all over for me. I abandoned my plan to become a newspaper reporter and jumped headlong into design and haven’t looked back. This career has allowed me to bring into the world the things I dream up in my head—whether it be photo or design—and that’s so incredibly rewarding. I’ve been lucky enough to meet amazing people, visit beautiful places, and design in a way that helps stories come to life.
I worked in editorial design for about 10 years and most recently transitioned to working for retailer Orvis in 2018. I also run a freelance business on the side, where I dabble as a stationer and design marketing materials for local clients.
When I’m not designing, I like to hit the trail with my dog, son, and husband. We love to camp, hike, fly-fish, garden, and be outside as much as humanly possible. Domestic and international travel is also a passion. I’m currently on a quest to visit all of the U.S. National Parks. I’ve bagged 32/63 and I'm going strong. My favorite to date would have to be Channel Islands National Park off the coast of California. If you haven’t been, book your trip now.
Only other thing I’ll say: PAPYRUS!
